Children’s Ministry
Here at Erwin UMC we offer many opportunities for our children to learn and grown in the church. We offer Sunday School classes for Infants through 12th grade, a Worship Service Children’s Message, Children’s Church, Children’s Choir, and an active Children’s Ministry with various fun activities scheduled throughout the year. From Church Family Game Nights and Drive-in Movie Nights (open to all ages and church members) to an annual Easter Egg Hunt for toddlers – 5th graders in the winter and spring months. We enjoy a 4 day Vacation Bible School every July followed by a Back 2 School Bash and Blessing of the Backpacks in August to kick off the new school year. In the Fall we have our annual Halloween Festival and Trunk or Treat. Our children participate in a Children’s Christmas Program every year in December.
Acolyte training is also offered to children who are in 2nd grade or older. Once fully trained, children are able to serve as acolytes during our Worship Service.
